A core model of the Louis Erard catalog, the Excellence Petite Secondes watches are refined and sophisticated. The dial is a variation on a “sector” layout with numerals, markers, and textures laid out along concentric circles with an oversized sub-seconds dial at six o’clock. Long fir tree hands with impossibly thin points point to the time and contribute to the overall elevated aesthetic.
The dial of Excellence Petite Secondes Guilloché line features detailed and elaborate textures created through stamping that simulate the look of rose engine turned patterns. The various regions of the dial feature different patterns, playing with light and shadow, creating a complex overall look. There are two versions, one all Anthracite and the other two-tone Anthracite Blue, with a combination of surfaces. Both options are striking, dark, and mysterious.
The Excellence Petite Secondes case is fully polished and features a large dial opening and rounded sides for an elegant but modern style. Thanks to the fully rounded shape, the watches wear smaller than their diameters would suggest and look thinner. Please note that the Anthracite model features a 42mm diameter, and the Anthracite Blue features a 39mm diameter. Both feature grained black leather straps.
Powering the Excellence Petite Secondes Guilloché is the Sellita SW261-1 Swiss-made caliber. An automatic movement, it features 31-jewels, hacking, hand winding, small seconds, a frequency of 28,000 beats per hour, and a power reserve of at least 38 hours. The movements in use are true no-date.
